Enter our "My Mom's the Best" contest!
Everybody loves Mom, and we're encouraging all sons and daughters to nominate their mothers for some great prizes in our “My Mom's the Best!” conest.
We know all moms are “the best” in their own way, and we’re asking children of all ages to write a nomination note of up to 200 words on why their mom is so special.
A panel of judges chosen by The Bee will meet to read all the nominations and choose the winner, who will be announced on Mother's Day, May 8.
Please note that anything you write in the contest will be posted on the Internet and can be seen by anyone with access to the World Wide Web.
Also, entries become property of The Modesto Bee, which means we can reproduce what you write in the newspaper and on our websites. We plan not only to feature the winning mom on Mother’s Day but also to run excerpts of testimonials on other mothers nominated in the contest.
The winning mom will receive some great prizes from sponsors American Chevrolet and Coit Services of Modesto, including $250 of Coit Cash, $250 of American Chevrolet Cash, free air duct cleaning, free oil changes, a bouquet of flowers and dinner for two at a restaurant of Mom's choosing.
Anyone 13 years or older may enter the contest, nominating his or her mother. Kids under 13 should ask Dad or another relative of age to register on their behalf.
Submissions will be accepted online only. We cannot accept nominations via email or letter.

Nominations are open as of Sunday, April 17, and may be submitted until 3 p.m. on April 29.
